Overview Gay Club Scene In Brussels

Brussels has a very vibrant and substantial Gay and Lesbian clubbing scene. There are plenty of late night clubs and more relaxed pre-club bars etc on offer. Most joints are lively affiars but not hetero friendly. As  the European Union Capital  Brussels is full of tourists bureaucrats and politicians  and the gay scene is mainly situated behind the Grand Palace.

Nation Club,  Brussels 7 Rue Des Riches, Claires – This popular gay haunt has two spacious dance floors. The soundtrack is provided by House progressive music and commercial hits. This has often been described as the best Gay club in the Belgian capital. This is a private club and membership can be required for about 5 Euro’s. Drinks are well priced. You Gay Tea Dance, Brussels 18 Rue Duquesnoy –  This is a weekly Gay party night held every Sunday. The clientele are rather young and consist mainly of young pretty boys. Le Boys Boudoir,  Brussels 25 Rue De Marche Le boys is a late night hotspot opened daily. As you may have guessed from the club’s title It’s men only unfortunately girls. there are different themed parties on the weekends and regular Drag entertainment. Christobar, Brussels 12 Rue de la Fourche Greepstraat tel no: 32-22-0134-03 – Christobar is a former Irish bar caters to more mature clientele. The crowd consists mainly of thirty and 40 something’s and there’s charming atmosphere about the place. Music is mostly piano and chill out. Open daily from 5 pm till late. Homo Erectus,  Brussels 57 Rue de Pierres – This is a small and comfy venue with a mysterious dark room fit for forging new relationships in. The eclectic music line up includes Pop, top 40 chart, musicals and camp show tunes. Open 3 pm till the last person leaves daily. La Demence at Club Fuse,   1000 Brussels Rue Blaestraat 208 -  La Demence is one of Brussels most infamous gay party nights, partying on until lunchtime the next day. The clientele arrive here from all over Europe and those who have acquired a taste for muscle-bound beefcakes will not be left disappointed. The resident DJ is Steven Rendant. The soundtrack to your night of debauchery is supplied by the sounds of vocal and progressive house, Techno and Dance music. Le Belgica, Brussels 32 Rue De Marche au charbon – This is a classy  weekend bar and probably Brussels most popular Gay/Lesbian bar on the weekends.  Belgica has a very international feel about it. It’s regarded as an essential pre-club destination to get you warmed up for a late night on the tiles. The music is mostly gay disco and dance anthems. This bar opened in the mid 1980′s and is renowned for its kitsch decor and flamboyant clientele. Drinks are reasonably priced. Le Club, Brussels 45 Rue des Pierres Steenstraat  - The Opening hours are Tues-Sun from 6 pm till the small hours of the morning. This is a stylish Gay and Lesbian cocktail bar with reasonable drink prices and an extensive drinks list. They have DJ’ s spinning gay friendly disco and dance  songs, They have drag shows on most evenings. They have Dj’s performing from  from Thursday to Sunday.
