Cozy Austurstraeti Reykjavik  tel no: 354-511-1033 – Cozy is a centrally located Gay Bar. It’s a fantastic place to forge new friendship and relationships and the crowd here are generally very welcoming. Its one of the few Gay establishments in the city. Cozy is packed to the rafters on weekends but a little quieter during the week. Open 10 am till 1am in the week and 8 am to 6 am on weekends. Entry is free on most evenings. websire n/a

MSC Iceland Reykjavik Laugavegur 28This raunchy joint is strictly men only. Its a kinky leather/fetish bar frequented by some pretty outrageous and flamboyant characters, Not for the faint at heart. Gay men who are advocates of role-play and unique sexual rituals will feel right at home at MSC. there is mandatory Membership which you can purchase at the door. Q Bar Reykjavik Ingolfstraeti 3 -bQ is regarded by many to be the city’s most notorious Gay joint. They showcase Live Music as well as DJ’s who play Dance and popular Gay anthems. Q is also known for treating its customers to live Jazz and Blues music.  The Minimalist decor is modern and stylish which adds to Q Bar’s undoubted appeal. Mixed: 

Truno Laugavegur 22 Reykjavik – Truno doesn’t really get going until after midnight. It’s a local favourite and it’s 18 and over. The crowd are an interesting and eclectic mix.  Truno is mostly men but is also Lesbian friendly. Entry is free at this popular dance club. Truno had a history of violent bigots in the past but is now a  tolerant and safe haven.  Gay Club, Barbara is located above Truno. Open from 11 pm till 1 am Mon-Thurs and till 11 to 2 am on weekends.website http://truno.is/ 

Barbara Laugavegur 22 Reykjavik [- Barbara is a home for Icelandic Gay Pride. Its a bright pink and charming venue which is mainly queer but straight clientele are made to feel very welcome. There’s a general positivity about Barbara and it’s arguably the best party night on Reykjavik’s entire club scene. Things can get pretty raucous in there with colourful characters singing their hearts out and effusive party-goers dancing on tables. The upbeat music caters to a queer demographic. Open Fri/Sat 11 pm till 5 am. Admission is usually free unless there’s a special event on. Drink prices are average for Iceland. website n/a
